This home in Loretto didn’t need a new look. The structure was already there: solid brick, a balanced front entrance, and a long rear elevation opening onto the deck.

What changed over time were the windows. Installed back in 2009, they had faded and started letting cold air in. It wasn’t dramatic, but it was constant. Certain rooms felt cooler. The house never quite held its temperature the way it should.
A precise replacement, not a redesign
Eighteen draftLOCK™ Slim Series windows, five doors, and two patio doors replaced the originals. All in a custom brown that fits naturally with the brick and stone.

Nothing about the layout changed. The difference comes from how clean everything looks now. The darker frames sharpen the symmetry across the front. The arched window above the entrance stands out with more clarity. The home feels more intentional without adding anything new.

The backyard, now in one line
At the back, the impact is more visible. The row of windows and patio doors now reads as one continuous surface.
The frames are consistent. The proportions line up. The connection to the deck feels smoother, especially with the glass railing carrying that same clean, horizontal line outward. What used to feel like separate openings now works together.
One of the patio doors is a Euro-style system with a built-in retractable screen. It stays out of sight when not needed, but makes it easy to bring in fresh air without affecting the look or flow of the space.

An entrance that holds its ground
The main entrance remains true to the original design, but feels more grounded now.
The new entry door sits cleanly within the stone surround, matching the scale and proportions of the home. It doesn’t try to stand out. It completes the composition, the way it should have from the beginning.

When everything lines up
This wasn’t about changing the home. It was about bringing it back into balance.
The colour fits. The lines are sharper. The performance finally matches the look.
“The house feels warmer and more comfortable throughout. It finally feels right.”
