There’s something satisfying about seeing an older brick home become a little sharper without becoming less familiar. That was the opportunity with this window replacement in Maple, where 15 new DraftLOCK Slim Series windows brought a stronger, more defined look to the exterior.
Chestnut Brown was an especially good fit for this house. Surrounded by warm, multi-toned brick, the darker frames create crisp outlines around each opening and connect naturally with the brown roofline, soffits and garage doors. Inside, the windows were finished in white, keeping the rooms bright and making the exterior colour choice completely independent from the interior decor.
One Home, Many Window Styles
Not every opening called for the same solution. The project included casement, awning, and fixed windows, giving different areas of the home the functionality they needed while maintaining a consistent exterior appearance.
At the back, the bay window is the feature that immediately catches the eye. Projecting beyond the brick wall and overlooking the backyard patio, it adds depth to an otherwise broad rear façade while creating a more panoramic view of the outdoor space from inside.
A European-style tilt-and-turn door was also installed at the back, adding another versatile opening to a part of the home designed for enjoying the backyard.
A Change You Notice in the Details
The homeowners wanted windows that felt right for the house, and the finished project delivered that balance.
